AEO Visibility Dashboard is a component of the 📝Cloudflare AEO Suite that reports whether AI assistants recommend your business when customers ask questions in your category, scoring citation, mention, prominence, and competitive share from category-level benchmarks run against 📝Claude and 📝GPT models.
It exists because rank tracking answers a question that is going obsolete. When a buyer receives prose with three sources instead of ten blue links, position on a results page no longer describes your visibility, and until now nobody outside the model providers could see inside the answer.
It is built for marketers, brand and content teams, and competitive-intelligence functions rather than engineers. Early access as of August 6, 2026, requested from the Overview tab in the Cloudflare dashboard.
The metric I'd watch first is the gap between Mention Rate and Citation Rate. An assistant that recommends you by name without linking you is doing your marketing and keeping your traffic — that spread is the real economics of the agentic web, and it's the first time anyone has put a number on it.
Key Capabilities
- Citation Rate — The share of answers in your category that cite your site directly as a source, reported per AI platform rather than as a single blended number.
- Mention Rate — How often assistants name your brand in an answer without citing your site at all, which separates being known from being credited.
- Prominence and Share of Voice — How much of an answer is attributed to you and where that attribution lands, measured against named rivals on specific questions.
- Industry Fit Score — Whether AI systems place you alongside your actual competitors, catching miscategorization before it quietly costs you the answer.
- AI Operator Activity — Observed crawl volume, referrals returned, and error rates for each operator hitting your domain, drawn from real traffic rather than benchmarks.
Getting Started
- Open the Overview tab in the Cloudflare dashboard and request early access.
- Once granted, open AEO and select the Visibility dashboard for your zone.
- Check that your category is correct — Industry Fit Score flags a bad match.
- Read Citation and Mention Rate against Share of Voice, never in isolation.
- Cross-check AI Operator Activity for crawlers taking pages and sending nobody.
