Will Mayo is an 🏷️#entrepreneur and craftsperson recognized as the founder of Nordsprings, an Austin-based workshop specializing in handcrafted wooden tubs for hot and cold water immersion. The workshop employs traditional coopering techniques and uses sustainably sourced materials. Mayo previously established 📝SpokenLayer, a short-form, voice-first media platform launched at 📝TechCrunch Disrupt in 2012. SpokenLayer later partnered with 📝Google, 📝Amazon, and 📝Spotify and raised over $10 million in venture funding. He served as chief executive officer and later as chief strategy officer. SpokenLayer provided publishers and brands with a platform to voice articles and create audio experiences, including a “Spoken Edition” section featured on iTunes in 2016. The company’s growth coincided with rapid adoption of smart speakers by Amazon and Google. Mayo also founded 📝ListenDot, another venture in the audio space. He earned both BS and MS degrees from Lehigh University and holds certifications such as Certified Pool & Spa Operator (2025).
