Sessions from Dispatch is a 📝Claude Code Desktop feature that lets Dispatch — the persistent 📝Claude Cowork conversation on the 📝Claude mobile and desktop apps — spin up full Code sessions on the user's behalf. A task can route to Code either by explicit request ("open a Claude Code session and fix the login bug") or by Dispatch's own judgment when it recognizes development work such as bug fixes, dependency updates, test runs, or pull requests; research, document, and spreadsheet tasks remain inside Cowork. The resulting session surfaces in the Code tab sidebar with a Dispatch badge and sends a push notification when it finishes or needs approval, and if computer use is enabled its app approvals expire every thirty minutes rather than persisting for the full session. Available on Pro and Max plans, Dispatch effectively extends Claude Code beyond the terminal into an ambient, phone-initiated workflow — a connective tissue between Claude Cowork and the local dev environment.
