Center for Positive Sexuality (CPS) is a US nonprofit organization dedicated to sex-positive research and education. It publishes the Journal of Positive Sexuality, hosts biannual conferences, supports research affiliates, and offers internships alongside educational and certification programs.
CPS serves as the umbrella organization for the ๐Bonding Project, providing its nonprofit status, fiscal sponsorship, and institutional support. That relationship is also the Bonding Project's substitute for formal IRB approval: because the project's founders hold no academic affiliation, its instrument was instead peer-reviewed through an academic summit and ongoing collaboration with CPS. The alignment is stated as mission-based โ the Bonding Project uses its research data to inform the public, legislators, policymakers, and advocacy organizations about the range of relationship structures people actually practice, which sits inside the education mandate CPS was founded to serve.
