Mythos

Technologies of reunion are the tools and practices of 📝Charles Eisenstein's 📝Age of Reunion — technologies organized around attunement and participation rather than domination and control.

In 📝The Ascent of Humanity, Eisenstein contrasts these with the technologies of the 📝Age of Fire, which extend human mastery by burning through stored wealth. Technologies of reunion instead draw on earth, water, light, sound, and the human body, and they begin from a different question. Where the control paradigm asks how to take advantage of new knowledge to manage reality more precisely, a technology of reunion asks how to become more 📝attuned to the living world it is part of. From that attunement, Eisenstein suggests, arises knowledge the present mind would call intuitive or even supernatural — and with it, undreamed-of ways to communicate with other people, with other species, and with the body's own cells.

Such technologies are less inventions than relationships: instruments for cooperating with nature rather than overriding it.
