Mythos

BILL (NYSE: BILL), founded in 2006 as Bill.com by René Lacerte, is an American financial-operations software company that automates accounts payable, accounts receivable, and spend and expense management for small and mid-sized businesses.

Lacerte started the company—headquartered in San Jose, 📝California—after leading the online payroll startup PayCycle, and built it into one of the largest platforms for small-business bill pay and cash-flow management, used by hundreds of thousands of businesses and the accounting firms that serve them. It went public on the NYSE in 2019 and expanded through acquisitions including the spend-management platform Divvy and the receivables service Invoice2go, rebranding from Bill.com to BILL in 2022. That spend-management push places it in competitive proximity to corporate-card and expense platforms such as 📝Ramp, even as its core remains the accounts-payable and receivable "back office" for companies too small for enterprise ERP systems.
