Monica Benson is an integrated entertainment #marketer, experience producer, cultivator of strategic partnerships, and co-creator of The Dojo; an immersive, experimental entertainment company.
Benson has created, produced, and managed activations for brands such as TikTok, NBC, Marriott, Hilton, Levi's, Coach, Sonos, Adobe, Nokia, Red Bull, Vans, Kia, Southwest Airlines, etc. While at Warner Brothers, she developed and directed experiential activations for titles such as Ready Player One, Wonder Woman, IT, Crazy Rich Asians, Tomb Raider, Justice League, etc.
She has conducted artist interviews with COIN, YACTH, Father John Misty, Nancy Whang, Hippo Campus, Daye Jack, Chris Holmes, Golden Touch, Gabriel, Gabriel Garzon-Montano, etc.
Chantle Edillor and I met Monica and her husband, Toby Benson, at Day of Not in February 2020 where we were enchanted by the openness of her heart. Later, we watched as she was furloughed due to COVID-19 and, within weeks, had spun up The Dojo—doing in two weeks what took us over a year. Monica is an endlessly unexpected delight and we are ever more grateful to play with her as Citizens.
