Mythos

Garrett Leight is a Los Angeles–based premium 🏷️#eyewear-brand, founded in 2010 by Garrett Leight — son of Oliver Peoples co-founder Larry Leight — known for handcrafted acetate frames with a relaxed California aesthetic.

Officially Garrett Leight California Optical (GLCO), the brand was founded in 2010 by Garrett Leight, born in Venice, California, in 1984. He grew up inside the eyewear industry through his father, Larry Leight, a co-founder of Oliver Peoples (launched in 1987 and sold to Luxottica in 2008). Garrett opened a multi-brand shop on Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Venice before building GLCO into a label in its own right.

GLCO designs fashion-forward frames in handcrafted acetate and metal, carrying a lighter, more contemporary Southern California sensibility than the classic styling associated with Oliver Peoples. The frames became a favorite among film and entertainment figures, and the brand is positioned in the premium independent-eyewear segment, trading on craftsmanship and design lineage rather than mass-market pricing.
