Mythos

Tikkun olam is a concept in Judaism, interpreted as an aspiration to behave and act constructively and beneficially. It is most often defined by acts of kindness performed to perfect or repair the world and used when discussing issues of social policy.

When 📝my maternal grandmother passed away in 2011, 📝my mom told me that her gold jewelry was being split among her kids and grandkids. Since she knew that I was unlikely to wear any of her jewelry myself, she offered to have it melted down and converted into something that I would wear. I chose to have that made into a ring that says Tikkun Olam in Hebrew and it's something I wear often as a reminder of her and it's message.
