Ben Horowitz is a Senior Engineering Manager at Headway, a mental health startup aiming to improve access to affordable care. With over a decade of engineering and leadership experience across companies like Twilio, Segment, and WeWork, Horowitz specializes in backend architecture, high-availability systems, and security-focused development. At Headway since October 2023, he’s led major technical initiatives including the Protected Health Information (PHI) privacy roadmap, MFA integration via Auth0, and a high-throughput authorization replatform that supports offshore access to hundreds of thousands of daily entities—saving the company $3M annually. His work enables Headway’s expansion into Medicare and Medicaid systems, following a $100M Series D raise.
