Dust is a Paris-based platform for building and deploying custom AI agents, founded in 2023 by Stanislas Polu and Gabriel Hubert. It connects to a company's knowledge and tools — Slack, Google Drive, GitHub, and others — and lets non-technical teams assemble agents on top of leading models from providers including @Anthropic, OpenAI, and Mistral. The product is positioned as an operating system for enterprise AI, with 📝Go-to-Market (GTM) teams among its earliest adopters.
The founders previously built TOTEMS, a data analytics company acquired by Stripe in 2014, and spent years scaling products there; Polu later worked as a research engineer at OpenAI before co-founding Dust. The company's thesis is that the value of enterprise AI comes from making it "multiplayer" — agents that share company context across teams rather than living in individual chat windows. Dust raised a Sequoia-led seed in 2023 and a $16M Series A in 2024, also led by Sequoia, followed by a $40M round in 2026, putting total funding north of $60M.
Dust keeps showing up in the roundup because it's one of the few agent platforms built for the messy reality of company data rather than a clean demo. The multiplayer framing is the right one.
