Mythos

Personal Events in 📝MythOS are events hosted from a creator's own profile, a leaf of 📝Profile & Social, that carry the full community-event toolkit, recurring dates, per-occurrence RSVPs, invitations, guest links, messaging, photo albums, and a subscribable calendar, without a community around them. It exists because hosting a dinner or a monthly salon should not require standing up a whole community first. It is for hosts on a 📝Scholar or 📝Oracle plan who want to run events under their own name and invite their audience directly; anyone with an account can RSVP.

Key Capabilities

  • Recurring events with per-occurrence RSVPs — set a repeating schedule and let each guest answer each date, with plus-ones and maybe or can't replies.
  • Visibility that fits the moment — publish an event publicly on your profile, unlisted by link, or invited-only so it stays private to the people on the guest list.
  • Invitations by account or email — invite people already on MythOS, or type any email address; a guest with no account gets a link that becomes their account on sign-up.
  • Guest links, messaging, and albums — share a claimable guest link, message everyone who is coming, and collect photos for each occurrence of the event.
  • A personal calendar feed — every event you host, RSVP to, or are invited to flows into one calendar you can subscribe to anywhere.

Getting Started

  1. On a Scholar or Oracle plan, open your profile and go to your Events page at /me/{username}/events.
  2. Click New event, then set the date, time, and place, and a repeat rule if it recurs.
  3. Choose a visibility: public, unlisted by link, or invited-only.
  4. Invite people by name or email address, or share the event's guest link.
  5. Message your guests and gather photos as the date approaches.

FAQ

  • Which plan do I need? Hosting your own events needs Scholar or higher. Answering someone else's invitation is free on every plan.
  • Do guests need a MythOS account? Yes, to RSVP. An email invitation or guest link carries the guest to a sign-in or sign-up step and returns them to the event afterwards.
  • Can I cancel one date of a recurring series? Yes. A cancelled or edited date is stored as an exception to the rule, and every other occurrence continues unchanged.
  • Who can see an invited-only event? Only people on the guest list. To anyone else the event reads as not found, and the address stays with the guests.
  • How do I subscribe to my events calendar? Every event page offers an .ics file, and the calendar view offers a personal feed URL. The feed is a private token link that rebuilds live on each fetch, so it always reflects what you host, answered yes or maybe to, or were invited to.
