Sounds True is an American multimedia publishing company, founded in 1985, that produces books, audio programs, online courses, and other media focused on spirituality, personal growth, and wellness. Based in Louisville, Colorado, it is recognized as a leading publisher of spoken-word spiritual teachings in North America.
Sounds True was founded by Tami Simon, who started the company at age 22 with the stated mission of disseminating spiritual wisdom. Over the following decades it grew into a multimedia publisher of several thousand titles, working with teachers and authors including Eckhart Tolle, Pema Chödrön, Michael A. Singer, and Caroline Myss. Simon, who continues to lead the company, also hosts its Insights at the Edge podcast, a series of long-form conversations with spiritual teachers and authors.
