Mythos

Still Human After All These Years is a Substack publication on the history of technology and what it means to remain human through the rise of artificial intelligence.

The publication uses personal narrative and reflection to humanize the story of technological change, tracing how earlier computing revolutions unfolded and drawing lessons for the present moment in AI. Its title echoes Paul Simon's song "Still Crazy After All These Years." An early essay, "The Generation That Built Our Digital World," argues that a technological revolution "never feels settled" while you are living inside it.

I write Still Human After All These Years. Its essay "The Generation That Built Our Digital World" tells the story of my father, an early computer entrepreneur who founded a 1960s data-storage startup.
