Bluffworks is a direct-to-consumer menswear brand that makes travel clothing designed to look like ordinary office and city wear. Founded by Stefan Loble, its founder and CEO, it sells wrinkle-resistant, quick-drying pants, blazers, and shirts meant to go from a flight to a meeting to a hike without ironing or frequent washing.
Loble started the brand with a Kickstarter campaign for travel pants that could pass as dress trousers, raising about $129,000 in the first month, after years of traveling with clothes that were either practical or presentable but rarely both. Bluffworks sells primarily through its own website and positions itself between technical outdoor apparel and conventional tailoring: its garments use performance fabrics but avoid the cargo pockets and zip-off legs associated with traditional travel gear.
📝Assembled Brands has been a lender to Bluffworks since early 2019. There's more about that relationship in our 📝Founder Stories and in this post.
