Emilio Galán is a healthcare technology 🏷️#entrepreneur who co-founded 📝Robin Healthcare, a Berkeley, California company whose exam-room assistant pairs artificial intelligence with remote medical scribes to produce billable clinical notes for physicians. He started the company in 2017 with 📝Noah Auerhahn and, as of 2026, public profiles list him as its co-founder and chief executive.
Galán trained in the UC Berkeley–UCSF Joint Medical Program and holds a master's degree from the UC Berkeley School of Public Health, where he focused on healthcare economics and policy. Before Robin he founded HonestHealth, which analyzed healthcare claims data with partners including the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and Consumer Reports. He has said that hearing many doctors discourage others from practicing, largely because of documentation and billing burdens, led him to build Robin to take that work off physicians. Robin raised an $11.5 million Series A led by Norwest Venture Partners in 2019 and later announced a $50 million round.
