Robert Smith is an impact 🏷️#investor and philanthropist who founded 📝ICV Group in 2014 and, as of 2026, leads it as founder and chief executive under its current name, Conscious Capital. The firm connects family offices and institutional investors with opportunities meant to create social impact alongside a financial return, working across asset management, catalytic philanthropy, and convening, with for-profit arms in New York and Zürich and a nonprofit arm in Philadelphia.
Smith entered Wall Street more than two decades ago, following four earlier generations of his family into the investment industry. He managed traders at proprietary trading and market-making firms and built equity capital markets and international equities businesses at boutique investment banks, taking part in more than 200 public offerings and private placements.
