Mythos

Kristen Cullen is Vice President of Global Policy and Public Affairs at 📝Commonwealth Fusion Systems, the 🏷️#executive who leads the company's policy positioning and served as its lead public voice on siting the first commercial 📝fusion power plant.

Cullen was the named media contact on CFS's December 2021 Series B announcement and, three years later, the principal spokesperson on the December 2024 announcement placing 📝ARC in Chesterfield County, Virginia. She described that decision as the outcome of "a more than two-year global siting search," and framed what distinguishes the project from a research milestone: "For our first power plant, it was important for us to put power onto the grid… It's not just a power plant, right? It's the world's first fusion power plant." Her remit spans the policy questions a first-of-a-kind generator raises before it can be built — permitting, interconnection, and the regulatory posture established when the Nuclear Regulatory Commission adopted the 📝byproduct-materials framework for fusion in 2023.

Kristen made the case for Virginia in public. A first-of-a-kind plant is a policy project before it is a construction project, and hers is the voice that carried it.
