Mythos

SuperOx is a Russian high-temperature 📝superconductor company founded in Moscow in 2006 by Andrey Vavilov to establish production of second-generation 📝HTS tape, and the corporate origin of the 2021 paper on wire production for 📝fusion.

Through 2021 the company described itself as headquartered in Russia and Japan and operating worldwide, with its Moscow production and offices at Technopark Slava on Nauchny proezd. Its present Moscow business is superconducting equipment as much as wire: fault current limiters installed on 220-kilovolt Moscow grid substations, magnet systems including a laboratory magnet rated to 20 📝tesla and a magnet for confining thermonuclear 📝plasma, hardware for processing 📝REBCO 📝coated conductor, and superconducting electric propulsion for aircraft.

Its place in this library is 📝YBCO Wire Production for Fusion, the 2021 Scientific Reports paper on producing fusion-grade wire at industrial volume. A. Molodyk is its first author, deposited with both SuperOx and the affiliated Moscow manufacturer S-Innovations; Sergey Samoilenkov is second; Sergey Lee, Valery Petrykin and Marat Gaifullin are deposited at SuperOx Japan in Kanagawa; and Vavilov appears under all three. What the field calls "SuperOx" in that paper is therefore a three-entity group spanning Moscow and Kanagawa, reporting how it scaled 📝REBCO tape manufacture from laboratory lengths to continuous kilometre-scale production.

The group no longer spans both countries. The Kanagawa arm was renamed 📝Faraday Factory Japan and now belongs to the US-based Faraday 1867 Holdings, which holds the manufacturing intellectual property; Molodyk has carried a Faraday Factory Japan affiliation on journal deposits since 2023. The Moscow company continues under its own name.
