Active means the client's own muscle effort is part of the technique, unlike a passive release.
In 📝Resisted Soft-Tissue Release the person pushes back at a set effort; the muscle works, then lets go. It is not a trigger-point label, not a named certification-gated system, and not a claim that effort cures tissue. Effort stays a percentage, never full strength. 📝Guarding or sharp pain is a stop.
Clients feel themselves in the work. Going limp on purpose misses the method; straining at full strength also misses it.
