Strain is the sensation of tissue asked past what it currently tolerates, not a graded diagnosis of torn fibers.
In 📝Sports Therapy notes use strain as a 📝Load finding: something asked beyond current 📝Tissue Tolerance. Grade 1/2/3 tear language belongs to a licensed clinician. Mild residual ache after a hard session is not automatically a strain. Sharp, swelling, giving-way, or worsening pain follows the 📝Referral Rule, not more table time.
Clients feel a pull that was not there at baseline. "I think I strained it" is a reason to slow load, not a reason to dig.
