Mythos

Active-assisted stretching is the practitioner assisting a stretch while the client actively engages the muscle.

It is distinct from 📝Assisted Stretch, where the person stays relaxed. The client works at a set effort; the practitioner supplies the rest of the range. It is not a named certification-gated system and not a claim to treat a tear. Sharp pain is a stop.

Clients feel themselves in the stretch. Going limp misses it; fighting the assist also misses it.
