Traction is gentle lengthening of a limb or the spine by a steady, light pull.
In πThai Bodywork a leg, an arm, or the neck is drawn along its line and held, not yanked. The receiver stays passive; the stop is a good opening, not a sharp πend range. This is not spinal decompression therapy, not a joint adjustment, and not a medical procedure. The word in a session note names a light lengthening, never a claim to decompress a disc or to put a bone back.
Clients feel space, not a pop. Sharp, shooting, numb, or panicky sensation is a stop. Neck traction stays especially light; dizziness or visual change ends it. Unexplained pain after trauma is a referral.
