Mythos

Orienting is slowly looking around the room to let the nervous system register that it is here.

Eyes take in colors, edges, exits, another person. In ๐Ÿ“Somatic Practice it is often the first move, and the return when inner tracking gets too much. It is a method, not a diagnosis of hypervigilance, not psychotherapy, and not a claim to a trademarked trauma protocol. Forced staring is the wrong version; the person looks at what they choose, at a speed they can keep.

Clients feel the room arrive. If looking around spikes, they look at one ordinary object and feel the chair. Panic or shutdown is a stop.
