Bret Weinstein is an American evolutionary 🏷️#biologist, 🏷️#author, and podcast host best known for his work on evolutionary theory and human social systems, and for his role in the 2017 Evergreen State College protests that brought him to broad public attention. He hosts The DarkHorse Podcast with his wife, evolutionary biologist Heather Heying.
Weinstein holds a PhD in biology from the University of Michigan and previously taught at Evergreen State College in Washington state. With Heying, he co-authored A Hunter-Gatherer's Guide to the 21st Century (2021), which applies an evolutionary lens to questions of diet, sleep, parenting, culture, and modern institutional life. He is the brother of 📝Eric Weinstein and one of the figures grouped under the 📝Intellectual Dark Web label his brother coined.
