Sam Hayes is serial #entrepreneur, seasoned executive, and venture capital #investor. Hayes has over 25 years of senior experience at technology and financial providers like Sun Microsystems, Amazon, and AOL. He's an investor in SharesPost, TrueCar, and LinkedIn.

Hayes co-founded venture-backed TangoTrade to solve cross-border trade issues seen at small enterprises in technology and finance roles. Previously, Hayes was an Executive Vice President at Assembled Brands which provides capital to emerging brands in partnership with Oaktree.

Earlier still, Hayes was the founding Senior Vice President at NASDAQ Private Market and founding COO and EVP, Marketplace of its predecessor SharesPost (now NPM.com) where he oversaw the firm from inception to market leadership with $2B+ private market transactions.

Hayes has previously led corporate development (M&A and venture investments) for the Java software platform at Sun Microsystems (now part of Oracle) and business development for two venture-backed (Kleiner Perkins, Amazon) start-ups that are now part of Wine.com and Akamai.
