Broadcast is a feature in 📝Topia that prioritizes the video of one or many individuals. When an individual is made broadcaster, their video connection stays connected with everyone nearby, not just the closest nine people. Broadcast mode is useful for hosting panels, conferences, concerts, and other spatial gatherings where one person may be speaking to many.
To use Broadcast mode, world owners and administrators can click the '📝Manage Users' icon at the right of the screen and select the user in world that they desire to make a Broadcaster.
Best Practices
- Step off camera before enabling Broadcast and, once enabled, step into frame to make your announcement. This is the URL equivalent of walking on an IRL stage.
- Start your announcement with a polite greeting, sharing your name, and relevant context and be sure to include a mention of your location. For example, "Hi, I'm Brian. I'm speaking to you from the northeast of this world. In fifteen minutes we're hosting x in the southwest."
