The Sandbox is a sandbox game for mobile phones (iOS and Android](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Android_(operating_system))) and [Microsoft Windows, developed by game studio Pixowl and Animoca Brands. In the game, a player creates their own universe through the exploration of resources such as water, soil, lightning, lava, sand, glass, and many more complex elements such as humans, wildlife, and mechanical contraptions.
Unlike similar world-building games, the Sandbox is designed so that players can craft, play, share, collect digital assets while retaining true ownership of their creations. A player can secure copyright ownership through the use of NFTs. At the same time, they also have the ability to earn cryptocurrency (SAND) by continuously participating and refining their universes.
