Farhoud Meybodi is a 🏷️#writer, 🏷️#director ,🏷️#entrepreneur, and executive 🏷️#creative_director. He's driven to help heal the political-social divide of the present day through film and television that subversively rewires the collective psyche towards togetherness, empathy and understanding.
He was raised in a conservative middle eastern family who pushed him towards a career in law but "jacked out of the matrix" at the age of 27 after a journey to the deep reaches of the Peruvian amazon. During his first visionary plant ceremony with the Shipibo, he was encoded by the spirit of the jungle with a crystalline download that altered the rest of his life. "Quit your job, sell everything you have, move out of your beach-house, go celibate, stop drinking, move back to your parent's house, sit at your desk and I'll do the rest," said spirit.
Now, nine years and one thousand lifetimes later, he is the Head of Creative and Co-Owner of 🏷️#WayfarerEntertainment, a media studio focused on social good storytelling content. At Wayfarer, he's written, directed and produced a range of critically acclaimed projects that have changed unjust laws, raised millions for terminal illness research, destigmatized social taboos, and helped bring people together. Some notable projects are:
My Last Days, profiling courageous people living with terminal illness yet thriving throughout the experience. My Last Days has won a range of awards (emmy, clio etc) and is currently in season five on the CW Network with over 100 million organic views online.
Man Enough, which brings together influential men for a series of raw conversations about traditional masculinity and it's impact on men and women. The show has been seen millions of time online and has been integrated into high school and university curriculum around the world.
I was introduced to Farhoud by 📝Will Cady.
