Mythos

Krista Tippett is a 🏷️#journalist, 🏷️#author, and 🏷️#entrepreneur who created and hosts πŸ“On Being, a public radio program and podcast on spiritual inquiry, science, social healing, and the arts. She founded and leads The On Being Project, the independent nonprofit media organization that produces the show. In 2014 she received the National Humanities Medal from President Barack Obama.

Tippett worked as a journalist in divided Berlin before earning a divinity degree at Yale, a combination that shaped the program's method: long-form conversation with scientists, theologians, poets, and activists conducted as inquiry rather than debate. The show began on Minnesota Public Radio as Speaking of Faith, was renamed On Being in 2010, and became independent in 2013. Her books include Speaking of Faith, Einstein's God, and Becoming Wise, and the organization has extended past the podcast into initiatives such as the Civil Conversations Project and the Hope Portal.
