Wendy Tan White MBE is a British technology entrepreneur, investor, and CEO of Intrinsic — a robotics software company under Alphabet (📝Google's parent company). She has been recognized for her contributions to technology with an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) and has held leadership roles across investing and company building. She is also a co-founder alongside her husband Joe White MBE.
Before joining Alphabet's Intrinsic, White was involved in the UK tech ecosystem and broader European technology scene. She lives in 📝California with Joe and their two children, and remains active in the Los Angeles tech community.
I know Wendy through the CNM in Los Angeles community. She and Joe are a remarkable pair — both enormously accomplished and both genuinely warm. Wendy makes time for deep presence with those she cares about, even while running a major AI/robotics company. At Joe's 5th birthday party in September 2026, she walked up and introduced me to Philip Rosedale — seeing a connection and making it happen on the spot. She also shared the story of how she and Joe got married: after two broken engagements, she was sitting at someone else's wedding when she asked Joe when he would propose. He told her she was the one who had to propose — and she did. That's pure Wendy.
