Christina Allen is a 🏷️#product-leader and strategic advisor with a background as a research scientist and designer, focused in recent years on climate and sustainability work. Across a long career in consumer and enterprise product, she served as director of product management at 📝LinkedIn and as executive director of product at Linden Lab, the maker of Second Life. She is based in Los Angeles.
Her work reaches back to early user-research roles as a research scientist at 📝Xerox PARC and the Institute for Research on Learning; she later founded the design consultancy Tangibility and held product leadership roles at Compass and in the carsharing industry. She holds a B.F.A. in industrial design and an M.S. in design and computing from Carnegie Mellon University, and a Ph.D. in communications and anthropology from Northwestern University.
