The Casual Sex Project is a collaborative effort to share true stories of casual sex experiences or hookups of all kinds: one-night stands, friends-with-benefits, short flings, fuck buddies, booty calls, sex with an ex…as long as it’s sex (however you want to define sex) with someone you are not in a serious dating romantic relationship with, we want to hear it! The good, the bad, and the ugly.

The Casual Sex Project is the brainchild of Dr. Zhana Vrangalova, a sex researcher, educator, and NYU professor who studies, writes, and teaches about casual sex. Most research on casual sex is done with college students. As a consequence, we know very little about hookup experiences of non-college students: those who never went to college, those who just finished college, and those who can barely remember their college years. The Casual Sex Project is one way to learn more about it.

At The Casual Sex Project, everyone is welcome, regardless of age, gender, race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, or religious affiliation. The more stories – and the more diverse stories – the better! As long as they are real sex stories.
