Mythos

Amy Bohutinsky is a technology 🏷️#executive and 🏷️#investor best known as the former chief operating officer, and earlier chief marketing officer, of 📝Zillow Group. A founding-era member of the Zillow team, she spent more than a decade helping build the company into one of the most recognized brands in online real estate. She stepped out of her operating role in early 2019 and has since focused on board service and consumer-technology investing, including a role advising funds at the growth-equity firm TCV.

Bohutinsky led brand and marketing for 📝Zillow from its early growth years, serving as chief marketing officer from 2011 before becoming chief operating officer in 2015, a period that spanned the company's 2011 IPO and its acquisitions of StreetEasy and Trulia. She joined Zillow Group's board of directors in 2018 and stepped away from her COO post in January 2019. Beyond Zillow, she has served on the board of the language-learning platform Duolingo and works with consumer-technology companies as a strategic advisor and investor.

I interviewed Amy in my 2017 📝Inman-distributed series because few people had shaped how everyday consumers shop for a home the way she had — the conversation that planted the seeds for what later became 📝Playmakers.
