## Memos

- [Yin and Yang](https://mythos.one/me/chaseriner/64b5bc): Yin and yang are the paired qualities traditional theory uses to describe balance in the body. Cool and warm, rest and activity, inward and outward — a working picture, not a lab finding. In...
- [Chakra](https://mythos.one/me/chaseriner/91a23c): Chakra is one of the seven energy centers along the midline described in yogic tradition. In Energy Work it is a map for where attention or light contact may rest, not a diagnosis of a blocked chakra...
- [Field](https://mythos.one/me/chaseriner/47aa20): Field is the space around and through the body as sensed in this work. In Energy Work it is a working picture, not a physics claim and not a medical measurement. Some sense it; some do not. Neither...
- [Vital Energy](https://mythos.one/me/chaseriner/326b73): Vital energy is the general idea, across traditions, of a life force moving through the body. In Energy Work it is the umbrella for Qi and related maps. It is not a lab finding and not a treatment of...
- [Subtle Body](https://mythos.one/me/chaseriner/126350): Subtle body is the layers of experience finer than the physical. In Energy Work it is a traditional picture of felt experience, not a dissected anatomy and not a diagnosis. Effects are experiential...
- [Aura](https://mythos.one/me/chaseriner/be84eb): Aura is the field some traditions describe around the body. In Energy Work it is a traditional picture, not a photographable object and not a diagnosis of a torn aura as a medical fact. Some people...
- [Hands-On and Off-Body](https://mythos.one/me/chaseriner/7246de): Hands-on and off-body is contact resting lightly on the body, or hands held a few inches above it. In Energy Work both are ordinary. Off-body is not more advanced and not a claim of action at a...
- [Clearing](https://mythos.one/me/chaseriner/a9d1e6): Clearing is the intention of helping stagnant energy move; what the client notices varies. In Energy Work it is an intention, not a proven removal of a substance and not a treatment of disease. Some...
- [Stagnation](https://mythos.one/me/chaseriner/3a1b08): Stagnation is the traditional idea of energy that has stopped moving. In Energy Work it is map language, not a diagnosis of a blockage as disease and not a claim the hands unblock a vessel. What the...
- [Energetic Body](https://mythos.one/me/chaseriner/e3611d): Energetic body is the subjective, felt layer of experience these practices address. In Energy Work it is how the person feels in and around the body, not a second anatomy the practitioner can prove...
- [Biofield](https://mythos.one/me/chaseriner/9bbfac): Biofield is the contemporary umbrella term for the energy field these practices work with. In Energy Work it names the same subjective layer in plainer modern language. It is not a measurable medical...
- [Intention](https://mythos.one/me/chaseriner/f5faf7): Intention is the practitioner's focused attention, treated as part of the work. In Energy Work attention is named without claiming thought heals disease. It is not a substitute for licensed care. The...
- [Qi](https://mythos.one/me/chaseriner/2fd09d): Qi is the traditional idea of vital energy moving through the meridians, shared with Energy Work. In Acupressure it is the map used to choose points, not a substance the hands can prove and not a...
- [Prana](https://mythos.one/me/chaseriner/208662): Prana is the yogic term for vital energy. In Energy Work it is a sister map to Qi: a traditional name for life force, not a substance the hands can prove and not a disease to treat. Session language...
- [Energy Work Glossary](https://mythos.one/me/chaseriner/88e22b): The Energy Work Glossary collects the terms used when Energy Work appears in a Somatic Realignment Therapy session note, defined in plain language for clients; every term describes a traditional map...
- [Reiki](https://mythos.one/me/chaseriner/584d21): Reiki is a Japanese light-touch energy practice, a related tradition rather than a name for this work. This library's Energy Work is generic experiential contact, not a Reiki session and not a claim...
