Prompt/Exercise by Dana Waldman as we think about how to continuously improve and work on our relationship.
Results of a 20-minute brainstorm:
I want to feel lucky and grateful to be in a partnership with this person.
I want to feel comfortable and secure that we can say what we need, when we need it.
I want to feel a strong sense of pride when I introduce them to others and the world.
I want to feel excited to spend time together to co-create life together.
I want to feel constantly impressed by who my partner is, how they show up and what they do?
I want to feel attracted to them, and for them to feel attracted to me.
I want to feel a sense of companionship and competence to tackle whatever the world throws at us.
I want to feel a sense of growth and possibility - like this person can help me become the best version of myself.
I want to feel permission to play, explore, and experiment - even when times are uncertain.
I want to feel like my partner can call bullshit when I’m not being accountable to myself or to the relationship.
