**Plastic Welding **is a technique used on thermoplastics to join pieces of plastics together.
There are two kinds of welding techniques recommended to me by artist and activist Aurora Robson: Ultrasonic Welding and Injection Welding.
- Ultrasonic Welding is suitable for lighter materials like PET (polyethylene) & PP (polypropylene).
- Injection Welding is more versatile and can be used for HDPE and other heavier-duty plastics.
The two tools she recommended are the Drader Injectiwelder ($3000 and requires an air compressor) and the Sharpertek Ultrasonic welder ($7000 and requires a 220V plug).
