Alex Fine is the co-🏷️#founder of 📝Understory, an 📝allbound marketing agency serving B2B SaaS companies and one of the top 📝Clay enterprise partners. Since going full-time in October 2023, he has scaled Understory from $6K to multiple hundreds of thousands in monthly revenue, building a team of 26 that delivers automated outbound, paid ads across LinkedIn, Google, and Reddit, and 📝revenue operations. Before founding the agency he spent years in enterprise sales at Procter & Gamble and Sovos. He holds a B.A. from Georgia State University and is based in Miami.

Understory uses Clay to enrich ad audiences before upload, lifting LinkedIn match rates from 60% to 90%. Alex discovered the agency's Head of 📝GTM Engineering, Naufal Nugroho, through a LinkedIn post describing a 40-API enrichment system built in Google Sheets. As the solo sales rep closing over $1M ARR per month, he runs a full automation stack: a Lovable app pulls pre-call research via Perplexity into Slack, and an n8n workflow reads call transcripts to classify the call, draft follow-ups in his voice with Claude, set timelined next steps, and generate statements of work in PandaDoc — saving roughly an hour per deal and enabling seven calls a day. Understory has wired MCP connections with Claude into platforms it manages like Instantly and LinkedIn ads, letting team members query campaign performance in natural language, and clients have begun asking to buy that operating system as a service. He is also a strategic advisor to Clay.
