How to connect your 📝MythOS library to the Claude Desktop app, so Claude can search, read, and write your memos from any desktop chat.
Claude Desktop reaches MythOS over the 📝Model Context Protocol (MCP) through the same hosted connector Claude uses on the web and on mobile, so you sign in once with your MythOS account — no API key, config file, or npm package.
What You'll Need
- A MythOS account on any plan
- The Claude Desktop app, signed in to a Claude plan that allows custom connectors
Steps
- Open — Claude Desktop and go to Settings → Connectors. Your connected tools are listed.
- Add — click Add custom connector. A dialog asks for a name and a remote MCP server URL.
- Enter —
MythOSas the name andhttps://mythos.one/api/mcpas the URL, then click Add. MythOS appears in your connector list. - Connect — click Connect next to MythOS. Your browser opens the MythOS authorization page.
- Authorize — sign in if asked, review the permissions, and click Allow. A connection is read-only unless Claude asks for write access; Claude returns with MythOS connected.
- Verify — start a new chat and ask Claude to search your MythOS library. Claude replies with matching memos.
