Mythos

Masaryk University is a major public research 🏷️#university in Brno, Czechia, and one of the country's largest and most prominent institutions of higher learning. Founded in 1919, it spans the full breadth of disciplines across its faculties, with strong research output in the sciences, humanities, and social sciences.

The university hosts LEVYNA, the Laboratory for the Experimental Research of Religion — an interdisciplinary centre within the Faculty of Arts and the only institution in the world exclusively dedicated to the experimental study of religion, bringing together religious studies, anthropology, psychology, and neuroscience. Justin Lane was a research associate at LEVYNA from 2011 to 2018, working in this experimental-study-of-religion orbit before founding 📝CulturePulse.

LEVYNA was where I learned to treat religion as something you can measure, model, and test — not just interpret. That experimental grounding shaped how I approach human behavior at CulturePulse: rigorously, quantitatively, and with respect for how strange and powerful belief actually is.
