WonderKey Collective is a nonprofit organization co-founded and chaired by πCynthia Johnson that works to close the digital divide for foster, emancipated, and homeless youth across the United States. It collects and redistributes corporate technology β laptops, phones, and connectivity β and pairs the hardware with digital-readiness education.
WonderKey Collective was formed during the COVID-19 pandemic, when the shift to remote schooling made the gap in technology access acute for young people aging out of or living outside stable housing. Beyond distributing devices, the organization concentrates on digital readiness: helping young people navigate the online world safely and with confidence. It is the philanthropic expression of Johnson's wider work on identity and access.
WonderKey carries the same belief that runs through all my work: the tools to define yourself should not belong only to the privileged.
