Mythos

Hyperventilation is breathing faster or deeper than the body needs, which can bring tingling or lightheadedness and is avoided in this practice.

Fast, big breaths blow off carbon dioxide and can leave the person buzzing, dizzy, or panicky. In 📝Breathwork that is a stop condition, not a method. This practice does not run Holotropic, Wim Hof-style over-breathing, or any protocol that aims at tingling. If it shows up by accident, the person sits, breathes slowly through the nose, and waits.

Clients who arrive wanting a "powerful breath" are redirected to cadence and a longer exhale. Persistent unexplained shortness of breath, chest pain, or fainting is a referral, not a longer session.
