Lordosis is the spine's natural forward curve through the neck and low back; "hyper" means more curve than usual, "flat" means less.
Those curves are normal anatomy. 📝Hyperlordosis is the postural finding of more arch than the person's easy stack; a flattened lumbar or cervical curve is the other end, often with a tucked pelvis. In 📝Postural / Structural Realignment both are organizations around gravity, not a diagnosis of disc disease or a spine that is "too curved" as a medical fact.
Clients hear lordosis as a problem to flatten. The useful question is whether the curve can change with a hinge, a squat, or a breath, and whether it is a choice or a hold.
Sudden severe pain, leg or arm numbness, or trauma is a referral.
