Metta is loving-kindness, the intention the practitioner traditionally holds during the work.
In 📝Thai Bodywork the word names a quality of contact — unhurried, not extracting, not performing — not a spell and not a diagnosis. It does not claim to heal by thought, and it is not required language in a session note. When it appears, it honors the tradition's ethic, not a marketing mood.
Clients may never hear the word. They feel whether the hands are kind. Rushing, forcing past the 📝stretch threshold, or ignoring a stop is the opposite of metta, whatever is said.
