Mythos

Palpation is feeling the tissue with the fingers to find bands, points, and temperature or texture change.

In ๐Ÿ“Trigger Point Therapy the hands search a muscle for a taut strand and a nodule that refers. The same skill is used in myofascial and assessment work to notice glide, heat, and guarding. It is a way of looking, not a diagnosis and not a claim to have found a lesion imaging would confirm. Consent is continuous: the person can stop the contact at any moment.

Clients feel it as the practitioner "hunting." Pressure stays in a range they can breathe through. Sharp, numb, or panicky sensation is a stop, not a cue to press harder.
