Mythos

Perpetuating factor is a habit, posture, or load that keeps re-forming the same point, such as a phone held to one shoulder.

In ๐Ÿ“Trigger Point Therapy a quieted point that returns in a week is usually being rebuilt by how the person sits, carries, sleeps, or trains โ€” not by a failure of the hold. Naming the factor is how the session turns into home practice. It is not a diagnosis of a disease, not a blame, and not a claim that posture caused a lesion.

Clients recognize the habit once it is named. The dose is a small change they can keep: the phone on speaker, a bag on the other side, a pillow that lets the neck rest. Clearing the point without touching the factor is a short win.
