Mythos

Cadence is the tempo of a breath pattern, counted in seconds per phase.

Four in, six out is a cadence. In 📝Breathwork cadence is the main dose: slower usually settles, faster usually raises. The numbers are a starting point, not a medical prescription. If the person cannot keep the count without bracing, the cadence is too ambitious.

Clients feel the difference as a clock they can ride versus a clock that rushes them. Dizziness or panic means slow the count or drop a hold. Chest pain is a stop.
