Mythos

SomatoEmotional Release is Upledger's term for emotion surfacing during craniosacral work; experiential, not psychotherapy.

A hold is on; feeling moves through — tears, heat, a memory, a sigh. In 📝Craniosacral Therapy that is allowed, not produced, and not processed as a story. It is distinct from 📝Emotional Release as a modality. Forcing emotion is the wrong method. Persistent distress belongs with licensed care.

Clients feel something move that they did not plan. Panic or shutdown is a stop; the hold eases and the person orients to the room.
