Mythos

Lengthening is restoring resting length to shortened tissue so a segment can settle back toward neutral.

A tight hip flexor, a short chest, a neck that will not let the head stack: the tissue is holding a 📝line of pull. In 📝Postural / Structural Realignment lengthening is slow, dosed, and followed by a new organization — not a yank, and not a stretch contest. The aim is that the segment can rest without the old grip, not that a muscle has been made longer as a medical fact.

Clients feel it as space, as a breath they did not have, or as a shake when the hold lets go. Sharp pain is a stop. After the tissue yields, the person is asked to find the stack so the length is used, not just visited.

Outcomes vary and are not guaranteed.
