Mythos

@Wikipedia—the free encyclopedia used by 374 million people each month—has a gender gap problem; as of 2011 only 9% of their 71,000 contributors are female. [1][2] Creating what prolific contributor Steven Pruitt and his contemporaries say contributes to a systemic bias. [3] In 2017, about 3,500 people made more than 100 edits to #wikipedia each month, a number that has remained stable since 2010. Recruiting a new generation of contributors has proven difficult. [3] This gender gap problem is bigger than Wikipedia. The encyclopedia's ubiquitous use by the general public extends the consequences of that bias—whether accidental or intentional—into the beliefs of the global populous. Only 40% of the students enrolling in STEM degrees are women and that number drops to 15% as careers reach leadership levels. [4][5] @Mythos One was founded with a principal of gender equality and in continuously seeking women of strong character, expertise, ability, etc. to support them in cultivating their mythos.
